After four years on the same street, Toffee moved indoors
Toffee had a routine: the same wall, the same time, the same slow walk towards the food bowl. When his long-time feeder decided to adopt him, the transition took only a few days. He now spends his afternoons in a sunny window and has a senior wellness plan at a participating clinic.
Layla's first steps after her accident
Layla was admitted as an emergency after being hit by a scooter. With pain management and rest she is now weight bearing on the injured leg. Follow-up imaging is still needed before she can be moved to a foster home.
Twelve shaded water stations for the summer
Summer is the hardest season for Dubai's community cats. Twelve gravity water dispensers were purchased through an approved supplier and placed in shaded spots along established feeding routes, checked and refilled during each round.
Foster appeal: three kittens, one still waiting
Fostering a kitten means a quiet room, four feeds a day and a lot of patience for around six weeks. Meow Dubai provides guidance and coordinates clinic visits; fosters provide the space and the time.
How to help a street cat safely in 45°C heat
Place water in shaded, low-traffic spots away from roads and building entrances. Never pour water on a cat to cool it. If a cat is collapsed, unresponsive or bleeding, contact a veterinary clinic immediately rather than moving it without support.
April in numbers
During April, 96 kg of food was distributed across five feeding routes, six veterinary treatments were completed at participating clinics, three cats entered foster care and two adoptions were finalised.
