Valeria Lind, and how Meow Dubai began

Hi, I’m Valeria, an independent cat rescuer based in Dubai. I created this initiative with one simple purpose — to help as many stray cats as possible live safer, healthier and happier lives.

Dubai is home to thousands of stray cats. Every day, many of them struggle to find food and fresh water, suffer from injuries and illnesses, or continue reproducing on the streets with no one to help them. I believe that every animal deserves kindness, care and a chance at a better life.

I’m an independent rescuer, and this is a personal initiative. I’m not part of any organization or charity. I fund and organize much of the rescue work myself, while also collaborating with other incredible independent rescuers across Dubai and the UAE. We support each other with rescues, fostering, adoptions, TNR and emergency cases because together we can reach and help many more animals.

How Your Support Helps

Your support will help me feed stray cats across Dubai, provide fresh water, install feeding stations in safe locations so cats have a reliable source of food, treat sick and injured cats in veterinary clinics, rescue cats in urgent situations, and support TNR (Trap–Neuter–Return) to humanely reduce the number of cats being born on the streets.

It will also help give rescued cats a second chance. Whether that means medical treatment, temporary foster care or finding them loving forever homes.

Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a real difference. A meal, a veterinary visit, a neutering procedure or simply giving one vulnerable cat a safe place to recover can completely change that cat’s life.

This project is built on compassion, community and the belief that we don’t have to save every cat alone, but if each of us helps where we can, together we can save thousands.
